Founder, fixer,
investor.

I have built it, run it, broken it, and fixed it, often for someone else. I have sat in the founder's chair with no one to call, and I have been the one they called. I know how these stories end.

Jonas Sørensen · Founder, fixer, investor

I have been on both sides of every table.

I am a Danish founder, fixer and investor. I have started companies, run them, watched some break, and rebuilt them, sometimes mine, more often someone else's. I have made the expensive mistakes myself and I have been paid to clean up other people's. That is the whole edge: I know what a problem costs from the inside, and exactly how it gets solved from the outside.

I have never taken a salary in my life. Not in the polite sense, in the real one: I have always made my own money by creating value other people were willing to pay for. I work where the stakes are real, funding, healthcare, litigation, financial investigations, and I do it with a small, sharp team amplified by AI. I also carry a deep network across China, built over years inside its high-net-worth circles, that I draw on for deals, manufacturing, AI and getting things built.

Things I am rarely wrong about.

  1. Most companies do not have a strategy problem. They have an honesty problem, and everyone in the room already knows it.
  2. Headcount is the most expensive way a company avoids thinking.
  3. By the time someone calls a fixer, they already know what is wrong. They are paying for the nerve to say it out loud.
  4. I can usually tell in one conversation whether you will make it. So can you. That is the uncomfortable part.
  5. Making money is not the hard part. Extracting it from a situation everyone else called impossible is the part you cannot teach.
  6. Speed is a moat. Most of your competitors are slow because they are scared, not because the work is hard.

Family first. Everything else is negotiable. I am obsessed with computers and with building things that did not exist yesterday, and I am happiest when I am deep in something hard. I do not really have an off switch, and I stopped pretending I wanted one.

Mediocrity
Slow, safe and average is the only thing I cannot sit through.
Roots
Danish
Danish by birth and at heart. Nomadic by choice, in exile from the politics, not the people.

The road here

From Aalborg to nowhere in particular. School did not fit, music did not stick, the conventional path never held me. What did fit was the work I kept doing on the side. Eventually, the side became the whole thing.

1998
Born in Aalborg
Northern Denmark. A Dane by birth and at heart, I love the country, the people and my family there. What I could never make peace with is the politics, the handout mentality and janteloven. I once told my parents I would rather be dead or homeless than work as hard as they did for the salary they were paid. I meant it. It still drives me.
2010
Into the booth
Got into music around twelve, DJing and producing. It was the first thing that really took hold of me, and it never fully let go.
2016
Out of school, into management
Left school at eighteen and moved behind the curtain into artist management. The better part of seven or eight years in the scene, capable enough, never obsessed enough, but I met a lot of brilliant people I still call friends today.
From eighteen
One foot out the door
I started leaving Denmark the moment I could. First to Malaga with friends, then back for a while, then away again. Never running from home, just refusing to be held by a tax system I could not respect.
2018
Into China
The music years opened a door most people never get near. In China, owning a nightclub and booking the biggest artists is a status play for the seriously wealthy, and that is the world I ended up working in. I spent real time around Chinese high-net-worth owners and operators, and built relationships there I still use today, for deals, manufacturing, AI and the things that actually get built.
2020
Out of Denmark for good
In the first months of COVID I left Denmark for good, residency, tax, base, all of it. From then on I worked from wherever I happened to be, and never moved back.
2022 to 2026
A detour through an agency
Ran a small marketing agency for a few years. It made okay money, but only in stretches, and I had a partner who was content with okay. I was not. I needed work that actually made me happy and used what I had, and the real thing was already happening on the side: finance, tax, crypto, hardware, AI. Quiet consulting for serious people.

Building and backing companies, and being the person serious people call when something is on fire. Leverage instead of headcount, and the freedom to live and work where I choose.

I am not for everyone. You will know if we should talk.

I am not chasing clients or filling a calendar. But if you are sharp, building something real, or sitting on a problem worth solving, I am always happy to go back and forth with people I can learn from. The rest sorts itself out.
